St. Louis electrical specialties photograph album, 1893.

This photograph album and scrapbook was created as a souvenir of an 1893 visit to Saint Louis, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois. The creator of the album attended the sixteenth convention of the National Electric Light Association, held in Saint Louis from February 28 to March 2, 1893. The trip continued to Chicago, where the traveler visited the World's Columbian Exhibition held that year. The album contains twenty-six black and white photographs of Saint Louis and Chicago public buildings and street scenes. A number of the photographs depict the White City, as the grounds and buildings of the Chicago world's fair were known. The album also contains clippings, invitations, and hotel receipts.
